Hi, I am the Aussie Spa Professor. I am nervously introducing myself as I venture into the very scary world of “blogs”!

Wow, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs and tweets are a terrifying thought for someone of my vintage. When I was young there wasn’t even readily available calculators, now everybody is totally lost without their mobile phone, tablet or laptop… or even all three! Luxury for me was an electronic alarm clock, now people can’t do without Foxtel, Netflix or tweeting constantly!

Just maybe there is a way to reconnect to your loved ones and friends where actual speech is involved and a genuine conversation can be had, along with absolutely amazing and sometimes surprising benefits to your health and wellbeing. We here at Aussie Spas 2U know that all of that and much more can be achieved by immersing yourself in the warm water of a new Aussie Spas 2U hot tub!

But I hear you suggest that they are too expensive, don’t fit where I live and a multitude of other reasons why you think you can’t have your very own Spa. We hear that all the time! On a positive note we here at Aussie Spas 2U believe that you just can’t afford not to have one and consequently we deal with many topics which may well prove that what you currently know about hot tubs may just be a misconception and that purchasing your own little piece of luxury is actually quite easy and very affordable.

A little touch of history for you.

In the 1950’s in California vineyards, wine aficionados fill old wine vats, tanks and barrels with hot water to create the earliest hot tubs in American history. Those who were especially cunning took advantage of hot springs to enhance the experience. In 1956, Two guys wonder if they can harness the power of water to help alleviate a family member’s arthritis, and that’s how the hydrotherapy pump was born. When it proves successful, they peddle the invention to hospitals and schools.

By the way, the last name of those two gentlemen? Jacuzzi. Whether referred to as Jacuzzi’s, hot tubs or Spas, the problem is that when you google Spa you also get results for day spas that feature massage and pampering along with portable Spas. Hence my regular reference to hot tubs, because that is what they are, and many of the very same benefits of a day spa can be experienced by your whole family, (and friends), in the privacy and comfort of your own backyard all year round.

So, back to the age of the internet and my venturing into the world of blogs.

I want to attempt to deal with many of the pertinent topics around Spas/hot tubs in an attempt to both pique your interest and maybe dispel some fallacies. Guide you towards what you should be looking for, what new technology and medical research is finding about warm water immersion and along the way try to help you avoid some of the traps involved in making this investment decision.

We believe that Spa ownership is a major investment and should be treated as such, so if your considering buying a car or a boat is your only thought: I want the cheapest one? Of course, it’s not! Plenty of lemons out there and not only amongst the cheap ones either. It is exactly the same with Spas. Not all spas are equal, in fact Spas range dramatically in quality, reliability and value. Many different shapes sizes and price tags but let me promise you that:

“The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten”

There are so many things to consider and I trust you will follow along as we attempt to deal with as many of the topics as possible whilst I am right out of my comfort zone.

If you have particular questions or are having a problem with your Spa, please comment/reply and I will do my best to resolve your issue as soon as I am able.

Until then thanks for tuning in and I sincerely hope that we can learn as much as we can about the world of warm water immersion in your very own hot tub as we continue.
